ACTING FOR FILM: TUESDAYS 4:00-5:30 PM - Full Class
This workshop is designed to teach actors basic techniques for acting in film. The students will learn the
ins and outs of a film or television set. They will learn how to audition, film vocabulary, how to hit their
mark, classic Hollywood style shooting and more. This will be a fun, interactive, and highly educational
class for those desiring to develop and learn techniques to become a film or television actor.

AUDITIONS 1: TUESDAYS 4:00-5:30 PM
This workshop is designed to help an actor find, understand, and prepare for an audition. The students
will learn cold reading techniques, how to find auditions, how to make their audition count, how to
prepare a resume, and how to conduct themselves before, during, and after an audition and more.

- Cancellation before the first class: Your tuition will be refunded, minus a $25 administrative fee.
- No refund will be given after the first day of class.
Weather Cancellations:
- If ACT must cancel class due to weather, ACT will send out an e-mail. There will not be a make-
up class offered. If more than one class is cancelled due to weather, we will offer make-up dates.
MUSICAL THEATRE (Session 1 and Session 2):
Ever wonder how people can act, dance, and sing all at the same time? Do you have basic skills in all
three areas but don't know how to combine them to create a quality performance? Interested in seeing if
musical theater is for you? This course is designed for those who are new to musical theater or want to
improve their foundational skills . Teaching will include some of the building blocks of acting, dancing,
and singing, including character development, objectives and obstacles, music terminology, breathing
postures and styles, basic ballet and Broadway jazz, and more! But most importantly, the focus will be
on how to incorporate all three aspects of musical theater into a quality performance.
